MUSKOGEE, OKLAHOMA – The United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Oklahoma, announced today that MICHAEL P. WISNER, II age 39, of New Orleans, LA, formerly of Bixby, Oklahoma, and EDMOND C. WARRINGTON, age 62, of Okemah, Oklahoma, were charged in federal court today.
The Information charged both defendants with Conspiracy, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 371 while WISNER was also charged with Perjury, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1623.
Charges arose from an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The Information alleges that from on or about June, 2008, to on or about December, 2009, in the Eastern District of Oklahoma and elsewhere, the defendants, knowingly and willfully conspired with other persons known and unknown to the United States Attorney, transmitted or caused to be transmitted by means of a wire communication or the United States Mail, communication for the purpose to defraud the United States, the State of Oklahoma and the National Association of Attorneys General of over $2.5 million in taxes and fees on the receipt, possession, sale and distribution of cigarettes under the Master Settlement Agreement, (MSA), all in order to obtain money by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations and promises.
The defendants face a range of punishment of not more than 5 years imprisonment and up to $250,000 in fines on all counts.
Assistant United States Attorney Ryan Roberts represented the United States.

Hey, Henry Harjo was on the board of Trade & Commerce is also on the business board of Kialegee Tribal Town (they call them warriors). Mr. Harjo quaddripple dips from tribes.
He's at a meeting with Trade & Commerce at the same he's at a meeting with Kialegee as a warrior.
Chief Ellis fired Michael Wisner and the Board of Trade & Commerce which included Mr. Henry Harjo and Roger Barnett, Bill Fife and Sam Alexander filed a law suit against Chief for the terminations, and then Chief George put himself on the T&C Board.
HMMMMMM, something smells like rotten tuna. YAAA

If I were one of the folks on the NC who pushed back against signing the tobacco compact, I would be worried - if I took a bribe in exchange for my opposition.
After all, there was no reason, that made sense, for opposing the tobacco compact -- unless you're being paid by the tobacco crooks to oppose the compact.
The charging document filed by the US Attorney is crammed full of as yet "unindicted co-conspirators," known and unknown to the US Attorney, who both paid, and took bribes.
Wisner is facing serious federal prison time for taking bribes, stealing from the M(C)N and "buying influence" from corrupt M(C)N politicians. You can bet Wisner will try to make a deal and start pointing fingers at WHO got paid and for WHAT, in order to lighten his sentence.
Too bad this all didn't happen two months ago. It may have made a difference in how folks voted. But not to worry, looks like folks may get to vote again to fill seats that may be vacated as this mess proceeds.
And to think, Barnett, Fife and Alexander sued Chief Ellis for firing Wisner when he did. I guess now we know why those fine politicians fought to protect their crooked pal Wisner now, don't we?

The mentioned politicians were and are blinded by jealously and avarice.
AD Ellis was certainly on the right track with his investigations and shutting down of Trade and Commerce.
Now the US Attorney is in the mix and has elected to prosecute people involved in this whole tobacco tax evasion mess.

Get the old voting records on the compact that was presented, see which ones voted against it, then throw those councilors' names in a hat, then start drawing names from the hat. They were all guilty of what is now happening. They also conspired with Wisner in some form, but its always about money, isn't it?
Come on George Tiger, Barnett & Alexander, I know you are already looking back over your shoulders. You can run but you can't hide. It is no longer just us concerned citizens trying to wake up un-informed citizens, it is the feds who might uncover your deeds.
(Fife is no longer a rep, but that will not absolve him from the feds.)

Chief George says his government will be transparency. Guess he better start telling the truth about himself and other council members regarding the tobacco compact. I hope the un-informed citizens and those who voted for Tiger and Barnett wake up. This could effect the Tribe. Hope those who supported these two can still hold their heads high when everything comes tumbling down around them.

HAVEN'T YA'LL LEARNED YET THAT OLD GEORGE AIN'T GOING TO GET HIS HANDS DIRTY WHILE FILLING HIS POCKETS. HE HAS OTHERS DO IT AND THEY GET THE BLAME, ASK HIS BROTHER, MATT. THEY WILL SQUEAL YEAH BUT OLD GEORGE WILL JUST SIT IN THE CORNER AND SNICKER ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK. POOR NATION, RICH GEORGE.

Can anyone here tell me if there is a blood relationship of new MCN Chief George Tiger to two men with the last name of Tiger who have been accused of or charged with embezzlement in the past:
Johnson Tiger (from Okmulgee Indian Community through checks totaling $14,230 from 1989-1994)

i think johnson and Matt are the same and is george's brother. i don't know about the other one. i heard the epperly woman set on the charges and let the statute of limitations run out for some unexplained reason. things like this happened during the cox regime too. we may be more controlled by the feds than we think.

The question is not why the U.S. Attorney did not press charges but why didn't Creek nation under Chief Perry Beaver press charges.

Well, the Fox is guarding the henhouse, but what do you expect. No real credibility left at the Muscogee(Creek) Nation. Everything is now done for personal gain and bobbing and weaving to protect your already tarnished image. If your embarrassed to tell people your Creek I would not be surprised. All the UNEDUCATED, UNETHICAL people calling the shots and hiring UNEDUCATED and UNETHICAL PEOPLE. I have exited the CORRUPTION NATION so I will sleep good tonight. People that have integrity at this point will lose it because they will turn a blind eye to keep that two week paycheck coming in to pay the bills. Not me! I have to answer to GOD someday and I won't have to explain why I worked for a corrupt government.

Word in Creek County is that Tiger's brother is planning on running for George's seat. Now, how is that not a conflict of interest? I bet you the rest of the Riverspirit loan that he wins it.
For those of you scoring at home, Creek Nation has about 100 million left to pay on it.

With George in charge of the PERMANENT FUND, it won't be hard to spend it too (of course for the good of the Nation).
Dean Tiger on the Council?
Great!!! He will fit right in with the followers of George.
Of course George will override the fact that Dean was fired from Housing because he came to work DRUNK and was driving a tribal vehicle. Those little things are all in the past and all forgiven.
Better yet, the Nation should buy all council members their own vehicle. That would save a lot of money in mileage. But, then again why not drive a tribal vehicle and claim mileage too.
With Mr. Pratt as controller it won't be hard to double dip like that.

I feel that the best way to summarize George Tiger's first two weeks of his term can be musically and dramatically interpreted through the animated short "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" from the movie "Fantasia."
A powerful sorcerer (Ellis/BIA/Other tribes) can create very beautiful magic. One night, the sorcerer leaves his hat downstairs and his apprentice (Tiger) puts the hat on and tries his hand at creating something small. He magically transforms the broom (Barnett) into helping him do his work (being sneaky). After the broom does more than what it was suppose to (stealing and overcoming power) the young apprentice destroys it.
The pieces come alive and rebegin their work (National Council). The apprentice can't stop them until he's drowning and crying for help. At that moment, the sorcerer comes down and fixes everything (enter the Feds and BIA). The young apprentice is caught (arrested) and returned to do his mediocre work (broadcasting a weekly radio show).

Ol" George and Roger was spotted at their medicine mans house at various times this week!!! In case you don't know who that person is "frank teehee" Cherokee medicine man that good ol" George and Roger run to when times are tough better get all the medicine you can buy cause the Feds are gonna get you and probably some other people hahahahha

We have been told for a long time that they were users of bad medicine. It was old Dave Lewis who doctored them, but I guess he got too sick - took too much of his own medicine I guess. It's always been told to us that too much of that kind of medicine will do some powerful bad things to user. In the end, it backfires.

Very true, about bad medicine, those teehees Herman and frank run around with duck creek, guess that is why they put on the show for Ol George and roger, no wonder there was a few Cherokees down at the inauguration dance. I wondered why David Proctors circus shows " Fags and Whores" wasn't putting on the show at the dome. I thought it was because they had to do it for free.

If you wanna run your mouth I suggest you run it in person and NOT through the internet!! The statement you wrote shows how ignorant, small-minded, rude, and just plain stupid you are. The next time you wanna refer to David Proctor & his family/ground as a "circus show", you might wanna take a good look at yourself! For you to sit there and talk crap about a family & ceremonial ground that doesn't do anything to anyone besides help them to the best of their ability, is pretty idiotic. Colbert was put on administrative leave May 1.
The week before his removal, examiners from the Office of Comptroller of the Currency - which does on-site reviews of national banks - arrived at the bank's Denver headquarters for a scheduled audit. Colbert was removed from his duties before the OCC had completed a draft report.
"We don't speculate until we make a public enforcement action," said Kevin Mukri, a spokesperson for the OCC. If the audit warrants attention, it will be posted on the OCC Web site, he said.
