The payoffs have begun. Some very good employees are already getting their pink slips. The ugly truth is they are CREEKS. You know those who the politicians promise to protect and make sure they have jobs, since that is what our Creek Nation is all about. TAKE CARE OF OUR OWN. But God forbid, if one supported the other candidate, that's immediate grounds for termination.

It isn't gossip. You should know how the political system works. It's been stated many times on these blogs what will happen. Well, it has and is. You just need to ask around secretly and you will find out. Secretly is how we all find out what's going on because the councilors are committed to keeping their activities a secret from the citizens. No, it isn't gossip.

You have no more backbone than those you criticize. whisper, whisper, secret, secret that's just what got the MCN in the condition it's in now. No one does his or her own research. Everything is done by rumor and hearsay. No one is concerned with just finding out the truth. So go ahead and whisper in your dark little corners like a cowering wet kitten waiting for someone to feel sorry for you and nothing will change.

It not our backbones that are lacking. It is the backbone of those who run amok on the council. They don't post information timely, such as agendas, upcoming emergency meetings, what laws they have decided to change, NC voting record, their expenses, and many more things they refuse to publicize timely or when asked. It certainly isn't the citizens' fault. We have learned how to get information out to the citizens and how to get the information. & we learned how to do this because we have tried to do it properly by researching, especially on the NC's own website where any information should be posted or directly from reps. If the NC was transparent, we wouldn't have to resort to secret sources, and it isn't rumors nor hearsay. I don't cower to no one, and I don't need any sympathy from you or anyone else.
Pray tell, where do you get your information? Give us a hint. Maybe you are one of the anointed ones who is privy. I am not but I have as much right to any information that is public information, just like you.

Do all you GT/RB supporters support all the things that they are doing, like supporting the new KTT casino, firing Creek employees, etc. Its not even 1-1-12, and illicit & corrupt things are already happening under the newly elected officials.

That is all because the judicial department has not been in the NC corner because they have been wrong wrong wrong.
They don't like the Judge, Supreme Court, Attorney General or the Family Court's director, and that was because Roger had a problem trying to get services without proper documentations. GT helped him in this situation.
It was never about who was siding with who, it was about who was skirting our laws.

This was told to you all long before the election and reinterated during the runoff but no heed was taken. Start documenting everything that is seen, heard or written so you will have proof when the feds intervene. Believe me that is the only way it will end. Sadly, they will come back in 4 years and run again and what is really sad is they will probably win again.

your right, just because someone can talk creek does not mean they are Holly, a lie is the same whether you say it in English or creek. the sad part is being full blood or thin blood we all go down the same. when GT/RB spend all there is and the tribe is broke. they will blame the last adminstation. I wounder if there is a way to stop GT from taken Oath Of Office since we went against the tribe, according to court records. How is he going to uphold the constitution? When he is already saying the tribe belongs to any tribe who wants to stake a claim.

The really sad thing about this "re-org" of the Judicial System is, the District Court, presided over by Judge Moore, has done great service to the Nation and the Mvskoke People for over 20 years.
This bunch wants to p_ss that all away, just so they can do their dirty deeds without fear of the Nation's Judicial System who know what is required under the Nation's Constitution and laws, and insist they be followed.
I can't wait to see who the new judges will be. Or, for that matter, the new Supreme Court justices.

Okay... I have a question. Why would a Chief that is leaving office hire an I.T. company out of Texas a few weeks before he is to leave office?? Check into this before you go saying that it isn't true.

The Chief was still the elected Chief and by law, he still has to fulfill his duties and obligations. And keep in mind, the NC voted to approve the item which you're talking about. All legislation originates from the NC though.

I suppose this is a done deal know, however, approval for the new I.T. did not go through NC... it was done internally to the Chief's office... in which they promptly setup new email, etc.... very strange if you ask me.

Those of you bitching about firing Creeks should be bitching about the autrocity that our tribe has operated for years.
First, our tribe needs to begin operating in the 21st century. This is NOT 1982, folks. Get all coorespondance, forms, and policy and procedures on an electronic database. So far, they haven't even produced a decent employee phone and email list, let alone a GOOD website.
Next, FIRE every last person who has been sitting in their office doing a whole of of nothing. Start with personnel. Reorganize departments that are functioning like it's 1982. There is NO REASON for any MCN employee to let paperwork sit on their desks because they are too fat, slow and lazy to do what they are being paid to do. Are you listening personnel? Housing? <<<<< Housing is the WORST!
Third, make it mandatory that the MCN employees treat the citizens who use the services that we're all entited to use with respect. Do NOT treat, speak or be rude and hateful to ANYONE! Are you listening higher education?
Fourth, TEACH the stupid phone operators how to be professional and respectful to people. And yes! A directory that is accurate, up to date, and ELECTRONIC might help.
Fifth, FIRE every last department manager who does NOT do his work. The family of Can't-do-Moore that didn't even claim to be Indian until they could suck money from the tribe needs to go. Like ten years ago needed to go. Can you spell L A Z Y?
Lastly, do NOT replace those fired with more of the same. Don't let people get by on their name and connections. If we have to hire outside of the tribe to get someone who will work and actually make staff work then do it, G'dammit.
I'm sick and tired of my tribe functioning like retards. George Tiger is the man for the job.

1st of all, you are certainly not politically correct in your use of your word "retards", and its wrong to do so and you should find better words to explain your opinions. You are disparaging a large group of disadvantaged.
2nd, I don't think George is the man. I'm not sure he could be called a man, as he has not acknowledged his children, with the virtue of monetary support or public acknowledgement of paternity as a man would do. George is NOT A MAN.

I'm 1/2 Mvskoke. I do not worry about being politically correct on a blog that has the sole intent to bash Chief Tiger.
We have some great people working at MCN; people who are educated, and produce great work. We also have many who slide by and do little. There are others who simply are rude to people who come in and apply for many of the different services our tribe has for citizens. That is just wrong. I also think it's wrong to let paperwork, applications and other items not be addressed in a quick, efficient and timely manner. If someone is off work or on leave there should be someone else to do that job in their absence.
Phone etiquette should be required, and taught. Also, if a caller is misdirected to an employee, and it is not that employee's job to assist the particular problem, I think it should be prudent that the employee assist the caller in getting them to the right department/employee that can help them. That should be common sense, but it's not done on a regular basis.
Employees can only do a so-so job if they have an inadequate, or in some cases, and absolutely inept department manager. That needs to change. Don't keep a manager if they do not perform or know what the heck they're suppose to do.
The times I've come on this site what I see most of the time is that it's a place to spread rumors, and post vitriolic hate toward George Tiger and the NC. That might make you feel better, but it doesn't make a positive change for our tribe.
Regardless of who you think is a good Chief or how things should be run, if you are not working toward unity and toward making the Muscogee Nation the best it can be then you have the wrong attitude.
You may dislike that I believe people shouldn't be promoted on name only, but I want every department at MCN to the be the best, most efficient, and to produce great products and work. How are we going to do that when a group of you does nothing but spread vitriolic hate that divides our tribe.

Perhaps you are new to this site as its been stated to us many times that the site owners began this site exactly because of the reason you state, because of the acts and activities of the NC of which George has been one of the main players.
Also, the old saying "there are 2 sides to very story", which applies here. You strongly believe in George & the NC's actions, and a lot of us do not. So your side is also responsible for at least 1/2 of the vitriol being spread!

So here is what I don't get. Where was all the bashing of Ellis regarding his personal shortcomings? Don't pretend that he didn't have any! And... it was the Mvskoke people that voted George Tiger and Roger Barnett into office... so what gives? If they are as terrible as you say and the "Tribe" doesn't like them as you imply, then how did this happen? And don't give me a line about fixing the votes. And how do you know that he doesn't play a roll in his childrens life? Do you know his children or their mother? Do you know Roger's family? Things happen in peoples lives, people live and learn. We could rip through anyone of the people who ignorantly post on this site and find character flaws, me included. George and Roger are here for atleast 4 years. What good are you going to do constantly bashing them? How about you try to find some common ground and work with what you have, for the better of the nation? I agree 100% that without good leadership you have nothing. The department managers need to be go getters, not scared to rock the boat, see what works and what doesn't. I also 100% agree that customer service training should be manditory for new hires and should have refresher training for employees.
The tribe can't continue to operate in an oldschool mentality or it will be left behind. It needs to get progressive, fearless, and calculated.

What is the NC Emergency Session about today 12/31/11.

TR-1/ Special appropriation to pay all of Incoming 2nd Chief Roger Barnett's back federal income tax and all past due child support for the best interest of the nation.
TR-2/ Special appropriation paying all past and future campaign expenses for Incoming Principal Chief George Tiger for the good of the nation.
TR-3/ Special appropriation increasing inaugural expenses from $20,000 to $50,000 for the good of the nation.
TR-4/ Amending any tribal law to allow any official or employee to accept gifts from any outside entity with no dollar limit. This shall include cash, paid trips or vacations, gambling certificates, vehicles, RV's, jewelry or any other material item.

There are no special resolutions that address paying Barnett's taxes or etc; or even campaign expenses for Principal Chief elect. George Tiger. Surely they got more sense then to be so bold.

What happened to Dana Johnson and that Anthony Lee who were sentenced to restitution and jail time? I hear they didn't have to go to jail for now, that the Supreme Court stepped in and put a hold on it. Who is paying her legal fees & attorneys? She kept stating she had no money and yet ...... Wonder who's pulling strings? I suspect it has something to do with the tobacco people and the under-the-table money givers, who were taking care of GT & RB and some others on the NC who are still there. Truth will come out.

In Dec 28 okmulgee paper, says johnson and lee were scheduled to begin serving their jail time dec 27 but they could serve only 30 days each if they meet specific deadlines to pay off their fines, court records show! they have probably already had tiger's bankroller to pay off their debts so they won't have to serve any.
