It didn't take long did it? With A.D. on the way out, and George and Roger and a friendly NC on the way in, KTT is full speed ahead on opening their new casino in Broken Arrow, within the territorial confines of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

I ask you. Would Oklahoma permit another state's lottery tickets to be sold in Oklahoma? Same principle here.

Stay tuned. And I wonder what George got in exchange for his support? The Bible says Judas got a bag of silver.

They aren't even in office yet, but they have started their under-handed corrupt actions. They have been in co-hoots with that Marcella Giles woman & Kialegee for years. Was this one of the promises they made to get votes? I don't think so as we would have found out. It is a "pounce now" held up their sleeves, waiting for Chief Ellis to be gone as he protected our boundaries and our Tribal Constitution according to tribal and federal laws very successfully.

Open that Tulsa World link and read it. At this point, no mention of legalities are mentioned. But they are scheduled to open in March. Now that alone should tell you it has been in the plans for many, many months. Talk about crooked and corrupt.

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FELLOW TRIBAL PEOPLE.  STAY AWAKE.  THERE ARE OTHER ISSUES THEY WILL SLAP US IN OUR FACES WITH.

Will the 352 citizens of Kialegee Tribal Town become 30,352 citizens very soon?
Get your enrollment card with Kialegee.

    Be a dual citizen.
    Be a double dipper.
Be all you can be and get all you can.

Follow the example set for us by our new leaders - Tiger & Barnett.

They both fought Chief Ellis on this very issue. They want the Kialegee Casino, they stood up in court and said they wanted it. Wonder why?
Follow our new leaders and get rich.
That's what we all wanted, isn't it?

Out new leaders Barnett & Tiger have now made us EQUAL to the greedy white man.

Tiger will claim, "it's out of my hands, the tribal towns have a compact with the state of Oklahoma."

He will take out a lease for 20 years, pay the owners $40,000,00.00 for the lease, and pay the owners 50% of the profits for the 20 years - all in the name of Muscogee (Creek) Nation - thus sayeth the new Principal Chief.

This, of course, is because the family's land is in Creek Nation boundaries - they gotta have permission from Creek Nation.

The compact with the state of OK was signed last year to allow gaming by any federally recognized tribe if the state gets their part.

Better call your congressmen, senators, governor and any other politian iffen you don't like it.

Wonder how much George will get for brokering this sweet deal.
Guess who will be running it - Wilmorite - George's personal casino people and they also gave Roger his truck.

GT is the great white hope. The feds love him, because he going to take a tribe out, one less indian tribe to deal with, a few more stabs in the back and will all be one dead indian, no longer recognized has a tribe, all because GT has history of having tribal leaders in his family history. BS! just another apple indian, the bad thing is you voted for him.

    This casino will be built.

If you or any of your family members have land that is restricted - find a builder and build your personal casino.

The precedence has been set. It's fair game for everyone with RESTRICTED LAND.

Since Creek Nation's chief and 2nd chief elect are in favor of this they will be in favor of a casino on any restricted land.

This casino deal brings up many issues.

    1. Will NIGC give Kialegee its very own Gaming license? Or will they be permitted to operate under the license of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation's license?
    2. Will they have use of our (MCN) Light Horse department? (Yeah, I forgot GT & RB are miffed at present LH, so they will have someone in there to their liking.)
    3. Will our Gaming Board have jurisdiction over them?
    4. Will our Office of Public Gaming have oversite of them?
    5. Will the Council have any authority over them? The NC should be more than concerned.
    6. Will the present double-dippers on our council leave for greener pastures?
(Lena Wind, etc. Bill Fife was one.)
    7. Can the MCN take it over like the white folk can do: IMMINENT DOMAIN?
    8. Will other tribes get involved because of the "any one can do what they want with their restricted land if its within tribal boundaries" decision by the feds? It could allow the Cherokee, Osage or any other tribe to hop, skip and jump anywhere?
    9. It will get more interesting because deals have been done thru George & Roger, and none of it is good for the Creek people. I don't care if their names don't appear in any of the News articles.  They have done this.  They've been working on this for a long time.  I know this for a fact.
    10. All that can be said momentarily is that the Tulsa World writer had better delve more into the history of the Kialegee's attempts to open THIS casino. And the Broken Arrow city government should get more knowledgeable about tribal/sovereign laws before they give in, by stating there is nothing that they can do. There is a lot they can do. Just don't talk to biased lawyers or elected Creek Nation officials.
    11.  Lastly, there has always been a fear of the 'mob' types getting into our casino business.  I WOULD SAY IT HAS NOW HAPPENED!  Too many outsiders are involved, and they will drag us (MCN) into all this.

The fact remains, that just because KTT signed the gaming compact with Oklahoma, does not equal authority to game on Marcella Giles' land.

Any federally recognized Tribe is welcome to sign the state gaming compact. It is a one-size-fits-all deal and applies to all gaming tribes that sign.

The key here, is whether the National Indian Gaming Commission and the BIA(a/k/a The Feds) will allow KTT to game on land it LEASES from a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.

Recall that Thloppthlocco Tribal Town has their "Golden Pony Casino," but it is on land held in trust by the US for the benefit of TTT. Not land leased from a private person!

That is not the case in this KTT deal. IMHO, the applicable federal Indian gaming law is pretty clear, these types of shenanigans are not allowed. Even if George, Roger and the NC give it their blessing. The fact will remain, and THIS IS THE KEY, the land is not held in trust by the US for the benefit of KTT.

If the folks in Broken Arrow raise enough hell on that point of law, this thing can probably be halted.

And even if Marcella Giles sold her land to KTT, that wouldn't be the end of it. KTT would still have to ask the US to take title as their trustee. Then, and this is another key, the feds require that the folks in the community surrounding this newly acquired land have a say on whether a casino can operate. That's what stopped KTT in their tracks when they tried to pull this crap back east in Georgia.

The upshot is, Broken Arrow isn't out of this by a long shot. They have only to study the law, particularly 25 USC Sec. 2719.

The National Council refused to approve a Tobacco Compact with the State of Oklahoma under the leadership of Speaker George Tiger with the assistance of Roger Barnett, Sam Alexander, Bill Fife and an overwhelming majority of the rest of the National Council.

The result was the purchase by the Trade and Commerce Authority of tobacco products without any tax being paid upon those tobacco products, a violation of federal law, then enter the FBI.

The vote against the compact was critical to continued operation by Creek tobacco shops run by communities and some well connected individuals, who actually received millions in additional illicit income, who also avoided the payment of tobacco taxes.

When all is said and done the Creek Nation will be required to pay those avoided tobacco taxes, which means the treasury of the Creek Nation.
