If a person steals money from a Bank, Grocery Store, Neighbor or a Family member, is it a crime?
If someone TAKES money from a Business with permission from a Board that overseas the money of the business, IS IT A CRIME?
That is what was going on at the communities that had the 50/50 gaming revenue split with our Nation.
Duck Creek, Checotah, Eufaula, Bristow and Okemah had millions of dollars to afford a few select Creeks and non-Creeks with trips, vacations, household items, severance pay and whatever their Community Board Members voted to give out.
That money DID NOT belong to those communities only. It belonged to all Creek Citizens.
Maybe George Tiger & Roger Barnett will do away with our Court System. CN Supreme Court has ruled on this 50/50 split but who will stop them to overturn the courts decision?
Our District Court will certainly be abolished.
We Creeks as a whole, do not want to punish Creeks for STEALING from other Creeks.
We shake our heads, say nothing and do nothing.
WHY DO YOU THINK NO OTHER TRIBE EVER, EVER, EVER HAD COMMUNITY OWNED GAMING?
It isn't that we Creeks are smarter than other Tribes, it is that we don't care.

A note to our readers and commenters.
Just before the Primary Election, VOC mailed several dozen paper version of "The Voices of Courage", a mailing which included many different recipients. Well, it happened that some Communities received a copy and it created such a stir, like burn it, trash it, etc. We must have some readers in some communities because they seem to know what it was all about: "Blog comments from this website."
It apparently frightens a lot of people to learn the truth about their chosen candidates. Information and education about candidates isn't what they want.

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall if VOC went to Eufaula community center and Tom P. saw it. He hates VOC. He hates the truth. They just need to put him a teeny tiny desk in his wifes office and draw a check. He tries to run everythkng up on that hill. It gets so old. George has promised him a job if elected. Hope its not Eufaula. We need a break from the little tyrant. We had hopes he would go North to his Fathers tribe.

Its not terribly hard to understand.
People, all people, tend to vote according to their self-interest. It has been said that "all politics are local." That is true. Put another way, the people who are members of those communities will vote for those who promise to restore the illegal status quo when those communities received half the proceeds from casinos in their communities, to dish out as they saw fit.
And those people will make sure they vote, because they feel they have the most to gain from a Tiger/Barnett ticket.
The hope is the majority of Mvskoke People, who did not benefit from the 50/50 split scheme, will vote in large numbers and carry the day.

Getting endorsement from Rev. Alfred Berryhill, George is simply trying the same tactic he used the last time he ran. Then, he waited until near the end, and flashed a letter endorsement of Rev. Harry Long, who had up until then been a supporter of AD Ellis. I don't know how this plays out with our Christian populace. Will they follow Alfred's lead and forgive & forget. Or will they make up their own minds about George's unethical lifestyle. You know all the facts. Will they let facts guide them or just throw facts aside.
They are also endorsing gambling, as that is one of George's main campaign deals, to give the casinos back to the communities. Another lie & promises?
But there again, fat chance. He would have to settle with the feds on that.

I agree with RPP. The National Indian Gaming Commission can shut down ALL our casinos for the illegal actions of any 1 community. George Tiger should know this, but continues to tell the communities that he can get the casinos back in the hands of a select few. The casinos are doing great. George/Roger will do anything to get a vote and try to take all the money for themselves. Then the MCN will not have any money to run the nation. MCN was scrambling around last year trying to find more money for the year. They gave away too much money and made too many unnecessary appropriations.

You poor FOOL for believing everything Tiger tells you. Nevada Gold was paid millions of dollars for DOING NOTHING because GT wanted his friends to build the new casino. And because he delayed the construction, costs of goods, such as steel, increased everyday. GT does not know anything about business financing except how much money you can put in his pocket. Ask him how much money he received for getting Nevada Gold out? He did not succeed in getting his favorite company in because Flintco built the casino.

Not only did George's delays and tampering cost the Nation millions, but remember we lost the hotel as well. But, I'm sure you already know the true fact already and just want to preach your BS.

Asking readers: Are you a member of Eufaula, Checotah, Duck Creek, Bristow or Okemah?
Does it make a difference to you that the tribe will now have access to those casino funds to serve all citizens, or do you want the casinos back so only the few can benefit?
Of course, that path can lead the tribe to having its gaming license revoked by IGRA, NICG and Congress. Is that what we want?

George supports gambling which once upon a time Alfred didnt. Now it is Alfred supporting alcohol and gambling since liquor will being served in the casinos.
Unfortunately many of us remember when Alfred whole heartedly supported alcohol.

I been wantin to say somethin for a long time. George HAD a past and can move us forward. Mike Flud is MUD!!!He cant make a decision to save his life. Thats why not one employee liked him as Chief of staff. He couldnt make a decision for nothin...alls he ever did was say for the sake of keepin the peace lets jus do it like this! HE ALWAYS RODE THE FENCE! Im voting for George and everyone else needs to not listen to the neighsayers and make up your own mind instead of listenin to the gossip. My only gripe now is HEALTH!!! We lost another employee today to the detriment of the brainless CHIEF OFFICERS. Yep news travels fast in ndn country and we found out at CNCH today taht Victor Flores our revenue cycle manager was fired by the direction of ED MCLEMORE. We all know Philip Talam-ASSY wined and cried to his uncle because Victor was a thorn in his side... WAAAAAAA! Victor knew that philip didnt know how to do his job and well go cry to your stupid tsa la gi uncle to save his ass. Word has it that Ed did it to save philips job caus he knew he wasnt going to stay around. Alls I know is please dont put RHONDA BEAVER in as Director of HEALTH thats all we need is her runnin things since philips up her ass too!. look on the interet at Healths website to see how many job openings we have and many more coming open caus we cant keep the people do to the brainless chiefs!!! Another morale buster....I've heard a rumor that the tribal employees will enjoy a 7% COLA raise, while the division of health gets 0. And for those of you who would say we (health)don't deserve it, know that some of the employees are exhausted daily beacause of the second jobs they work to make up for what MCN doesn't pay. There are plenty of good folks in health (well, among the "lower" ranks) they just may not be in a position where they interact regularly with patients.

yea well i have heard that the people in the A.G.office and child support and judges office got a BIG raise that is where the money does not need to go! we at the health dept need raises. we at our clinic haven't had one in 4yrs!!!!

You are mistaken - if you read the budget call you will see that it clearly states no Cost of Living Adjustment for this fiscal year. Your department managers, however, could have put you in for a "merit" raise (whatever that is - it seems to mean little to most supervisors). There was no across the board COLA.

The problem is that there is no Qualified Creek to run the Health Division. All the whining from the employees and wanna be directors is amazing. The CHS is the biggest train wreak that has ever occurred to this nation. With people like okemahstecate that can't or don't know how to even use the spell check button calling other people brainless working in the health division it is prime example of why there are no qualified Creeks to head this division. It is also probably one of the reasons that it takes months for Doctors to get back to patients concerning results of test that have been run on them, or the payment to outside medical providers. All of these areas are managed by Creek citizens. It's not a Cherokee causing our troubles, it's not his nephew or his nephews girlfriend. It's a bunch of unqualified, inept creeks working in jobs that they don't like but think they have a right too and no one will fire them because their creek Our Health Division is a joke in Oklahoma

If you intend to make light of someone that doesn't use the spell check, you might want to
proofread or possibly get someone to assist you with your grammar before making fun of someone else.
I believe that there are qualified Creeks out there that can head up the Health Division and no it is not Judy or Rhonda. I am not saying that the Leader needs to be Creek, but as a Creek citizen I don't appreciate you implying that all Creeks that work for Health are inept. There are a lot of Creeks including myself that work very hard and care for the Patients.
As far as the Doctors getting back with results, I can't speak for all clinics but I do know that the clinic that I work at has it posted that you will only get a call back if the result is not ordinary. Not so sure that I agree, but the enormous patient load makes it impossible to get back with every patient.
You also said something about outside Providers not being paid on time. Payments are paid through Accounting so you do not know that this could be a variable when talking about Medical Providers being paid. Is Mr. Rogers Creek?
Please provide proof that "all of these areas are managed by Creek citizens". I am not so sure that this is true. The Health System does have problems, just ask the 'Nephew' how much revenue was not collected on his watch. Not saying that everything is Uncle or Nephew's fault, but PT is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. I will agree with Okemahstecate on some of the things that were said.

You are what's referred to as a one issue person and why it has been said that all politics are local. All that really means is that you will vote for or against whomever has done you wrong or who has done you good.
The Health Dept is a very important segment of our tribe's services, but realize that there are many other important depts. We all think we are more important than employees in other departments and that certainly is not the case, and it is a big problem for the tribe.
Keep in mind that some of those you do not like may have been nominated by the Chief, but they must also be approved by the council before they can be hired. We have read other comments that are just the opposite of what you state, so who are we to believe? That's another problem.
By the way, many of us do realize that there are many problems, but George Tiger doesn't have the managerial experience that is needed for improving employee situations. He doesn't have experience in finances. Whether anyone wants to hear it, George Tiger doesn't even have a real work experience, and he will never understand what you're talking about. Sad but true that George had a past, but that type of his past has already crept into recent past into present.
Are you wishing he had been your father? Like some of his children, he would not have claimed you, therefore, he wouldn't have to support you and didn't. Is that a good reference for A MAN? He couldn't even MAN-UP to his deeds.
You are certainly generalizing when you state Mike Flud was not liked by one employee when he was Chief of Staff. Who was that one employee that didn't like him? Hee hee.

I have talk to my rep about this clucks and why is it that all other dept of the nation have or gotten raises and the health dept get nothing but a stupid old broken down no a/c bus. that they paid 10,000 to paint to drive downtown okmulgee in the middle of june no a/c... we are losing great employees i also will be glade to see these guys go!!!!!and be replaced by real creeks!! mvto....

No, those employees at OPG might have a hard time trying to get him a license for a casino. The reason is he has done things within the last 10 years that might create a roadblock. No, George hasn't changed a bit. Don't want to say this, but it has been said that certain people on the council are involved with our Indian medicine, for the wrong purposes.

I heard and read this from G. Tiger before. It just amazes that he would blame his grandmother for all the things he does and has done. I fully believe he will continue his same old habits, that I really believe were not taught him by his grandmother. This is going on all over Creek Nation. People taking money from the tribe. Going to the casinos, buying cars and homes. Look at Housing there are a number of people let go for taking money, using that to pay for car payments, and voided out money orders from tenants that turned in money orders to pay for car payments. One car dealership turned a person in for trying to pass along a money order to make her car payment. She blocked out the tenants name and put her own name on it to pay for her car payment, with the same money order the tenant turned in to make a house payment. how dumb can she be, or how long was she crossing her fingers to hope she didn't get caught. It's all over housing. another one taking money to go to the casinos. Think they need to bring in the white man to take deal with the money there is no trust within the creek nation, these people are why people look down on the creeks.
