Are we exhausted with political forums or can we stand one more between the Chief and Second chief candidates?
They should have debates between the candidates for Principal Chief and the Second-Chief; like at three (3) places,
Tulsa, Checotah and Tvkvbvtce. They seem to be centralized sites for all citizens.
You have to keep in mind the size of the buildings. (and who cooks the best, BUH! jes saying)
Reply to this
The centralized place is Okmulgee somewhere on Tribal property.
Debate must be only for 4 candidates - 2 for Chief and 2 for 2d Chief no stand ins.
Debate should be no holds barred.
Debate should be Video taped for later review by any one interested on Nation's web.
Moderator should be someone familiar with media presentations.
All involved should be Creek Citizens.
Candidates must give an opening statement detailing their background and qualifications for Chief and 2d Chief.
Candidates must be required to answer all questions fully.
Debate should last until all questions from Creeks in attendance have been answered fully.
Debate must be announced for so that all who desire can be in attendance, Should someone be unable to attend certainly they will be able to submit questions to someone present to ask for them.
Let the Debate begin by the 1st week in October.

There will be a forum at the Okmulgee Indian Community on Saturday, Oct. 15, 2011, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. for all candidates.

Saw on the MCN site there will be two debates now scheduled. Holdenville and Tulsa.
Now we hear George and Roger are saying they will not take part, because some of the questions could be inappropriate for them. Well what else can be asked?
Reply to this
Well, I guess Flud and Hicks can answer those questions FOR them. (smiling)

I will make an extra effort to attend one of the debates. I can ask some very strong questions of the empty chairs. That ought to be hilarious as the answers from the empty chairs are probably more honest and truthful.
Reply to this
Questions about their questionable work history, questionable financial dealings, quesitonable affiliations, questionable statements that they made....

George could answer
Who will be your nominees for the Supreme Court?
Who will be your nominee for District Court?
who will be your nominee for Attorney General?
Who will be your nominee for Light Horse Chief?
Please tell us who George. It will tell us what kind of leadership we can expect, not just promises of better this and that.

Where, specifically, on the MCN website did you see any info on two upcoming debates. I've looked all over the website and cannot locate any information (big surprise). I hope the next chief will spend some time, effort, and money to update that archaic, worthless, tacky website.

On that first page that shows all the different departments - on far right side is a column, it shows "Bulletins - October" calendar, and
Candidate forums on the calendar.

Waste of time. Barnett showed up to mabey 3 total. The same old story. It would be worth while if citizens could ask real questions that have truths and facts behind them so that you would know who you are voting for. But really the majorty of the voters allow and condone the actions of their choices and stand for wrong. That being said they approve of their actions or just plain don't give a SHIT about their Nation.

To all you poor exhausted creeks is your children's and grand children's futures worth finding out the truth about our choices for Principal Chief of our nation????

Anonymous, who are you calling exhausted? If you are referring to the elderly than you are being very disrespectful, was you not taught to respect your elders? Everyone has heard about George time after time but nothing has been done so either ---- or get off the pot, also I bet there is alot about Flud and Hicks that we don't know, no one is perfect. If anyone cared about the future for their children and their grandchildren they would not have voted they way they did, I hope these people will think before they vote next time, if they had voted Jason Nichols in they wouldn't have all this mess. Either way this vote goes it is going to be a mess worse than it is now. From what I hear that George does care about his people even tho he has done some wrong, and we hear that Flud only wants in for the prestige and will keep all the old fogies in their now and what have they done in the last 8 years?

Too bad you have begun your slams on Mike Flud when you don't even know him. The difference is we DO KNOW George and Roger. We've been around as long as they have and we have had front row seats in their shenanigans. You can't even realize that you lost votes for your candidate Jason Nichols. No supporter has been as intense as you. Now you are going after Flud because you feel he done Jason wrong. As I state, we DO KNOW GEORGE and all the reasons we don't like his history. Your immaturity shows. Nothing has been done about George because of the hands that he greases. That's all it takes for a lot of Creeks to become beholden. Sad but true. I guess George done greased your hands too. Or do you have some other reason for your tenacity for Jason, then now against Flud? Come on, spill your heart out and we will see how you match up with George.

Creek Too, How do you know I don't know Flud, probably better than you do. How do you know that I lost votes for Jason? Talk about immaturity, nothing has been done to ole George thanks to the judicial system. No George hasn't greased my hands either, I don't need his money or yours, maybe Flud greased yours and alot of others to make the vote go the way it did, if you want to act so smart you should keep your mouth shut before you stick your foot in it.

Hey folks, why is the "Creek" so hung up on money? Creek has brought up that point so many times in his/her comments.
By the way, I was one of those who urged Flud to run for Chief after I saw who all had stated their intentions. I don't need Flud's money to know he is someone who is more than qualified to be Chief get elected. Your immaturity again surfaces if you feel money is worth more than convictions. You are showing your lack of any as it appears you have suddenly switched from Nichols to Tiger in the blink of an eye. By the way, I comment about known truths, and you just throw out uneducated opinions.

To:A Creek too, I am not hung up on money, someone else brought that up, and now you are, no money is not worth more than convictions but why keep talking about convictions when nothing has been done so far. No I have not switched to tiger and left Jason, I would vote for Jason again if he was in the run-offs. I only stated the fact that altho George has been accused of so many things he has not been charged, that doesn't mean I am for him. I also comment about known truths, I would not comment on what I don't know about and I know plenty. Frankly I don't care who wins the Chief position, I just don't like Flud personally. There with that said see what you think now about what I write, you know you don't have to read it.
Reply to this
Well now, this person doesn't care who wins the Chief position, because "I JUST DON'T LIKE FLUD PERSONALLY" This is the type of voting we are always asked to steer away from. Judge the whole, not just your own personal experience. That's not even what I call politics. Just personal experience, which is why we elect George, Roger, Sam and Fife types. Not smart, and not about qualifications.
Reply to this
That's why im not voting for Flud because i don'tlike him, Marcy Moore, Patrick Moore, Leesha Deere, Rod Weimer, Claude Sumner, Edwin Marshall and all those A. D.'s wanting to keep in. Flud has many faults especially in California and at the casinos
Reply to this
anon, I agree with you, but you forgot to ad all the anderson's, they have been on the gravy train for years and do nothing. Woody even drives his ex vehicle home and i don't doubt that he uses the gas card, that makes his salary even bigger, and for what.
Reply to this
I will vote for Flud, even if I don't like Edwin Marshall. Not voting for someone because you don't like some sitting employee is so childish. It has nothing to do with qualifications for a candidate.
Reply to this
I will vote for Flud, and hope he eliminates the chief of staff position, due to the fact that E. Marshall is not qualified to be in that position to his unsavory reputation.
Reply to this
You discredited yourself when you slammed Patrick Moore and Weimer. You may disagree with them but they're on the right side of the issues.
I can't imagine a world under Mike Flud where Claude and Edwin are still around in their current positions.

George Tiger has not been before any judicial officer or court of law, except for state criminal charges, divorces, breech of contract and money damages lawsuits, all of which he lost.

Can I get some more information in reference to Wilmorite?

This is also true for George and Jeff Fife. It is all very factual the new attorney general should investigate this, it is all very criminal. Following reps are involved along with some other names of interest.
1. George Tiger and Roger Barnett succeeded in getting Nevada Gold out of the River Spirit Casino development, but at a huge cost to the tribe. As a result the tribe paid millions of dollars to Nevada Gold to do NOTHING & just to go away and Flintco did the construction.
2. 2 Rogers (Barnett & Wiley) are to be in OKC to meet with Scott Meachem, to negotiate MCN’s tobacco compact. Can you imagine those 2 trying to be professional? #1 job will be an attempt to soften the image of George Tiger’s visit (he recently took upon himself) to try to make a deal with Scott Meachem. That turned into a farce. State of Okla. Is now in the “my way or the highway” mode as far as the MCN is concerned on the tobacco compact. These 2 NC members and the A. G. are not and have not been designated our Tribal Emissaries and they have no authority to do compacts/contracts. Only the Chief can do that.
3. NCR 10-009 A RESOLUTION OF THE NATIONAL COUNCIL DECLARING THE TERMINATION OF A. G. ROGER WILEY BY THE PRINCIPAL CHIEF AS NULL AND VOID AND AUTHORIZING A LAWSUIT CHALLENGING THE VALIDITY OF THE ALLEGATIONS IN EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 10-17. The legislation introduced & sponsored by Sam Alexander – Co-Sponsors: GEORGE TIGER, BILL FIFE, ROBERT HUFFT, TRAVIS SCOTT, PAULA WILLITS, ROGER BARNETT, SHIRLENE ADE, EDDIE LAGRONE. You can see the NC members who are all intertwined with one another.
NCA 07-167, which is legislation passed by the National Council providing for, among other things, the imprisonment of the members of the Supreme Court should they ever find any officer of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation to be in contempt.” The Court added, “The members of the National Council are, in fact, officers of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation.” (Can you imagine that?)

George Tiger and Roger Barnett should be prosecuted by the Creek Nation for taking money from Bristow, selling out the Creek Nation in Tulsa County District Court on casino deal, receiving property and money from outsiders attempting to influence an Election, conspiracy to commit crimes against the Creek Nation, taking money from casinos and the list goes on and on.
These two individuals have no business in any elective office, they are both career criminals just look at their records.
Reply to this
Red, that is true they should have been prosecuted but the Judicial system and perry beaver done nothing about it at the time and let the statute of limitations run out. What can we do now, and alot of people voted in their favor to be in the run-offs, so we just keep wasting our breath. We should just thank god we haven't done what they have, I can sleep nights can you?
Reply to this
Actually the prosecution should have been started by the Attorney General Roger Wiley it just could be the statute of limitations has not run. Current AG should look very closely at these facts.

PLEASE LISTEN!!!
I cannot belileve that Creek people have forgotten what George Tiger did to this nation when he was speaker of the national council.
I attended a meeting when George was speaker during the tobacco compact negotiations about 6 years ago.
George didn't like the compact that Chief Ellis came to the council with, so GT asked for a voice vote to allow our Principal Chief to continue negotiating until the council liked it. The power was then placed in that rediculous George Tiger's hands to take the nation down the tubes with our tobacco. Everyone knows Seneca paid George Tiger thousands of dollars to stop the compact so they could continue selling their cigaretts through Trade and Commerce - Michael Wisners little nest.
Have you forgotten that George Tiger sponsored legislation to put himself on the Trade and Commerce Board just months before Dana Johnson was caught by the FBI taking money from Seneca? Do you really believe that George Tiger didn't get some of that money? He stopped Mvskoke Nation's compact with the State of Oklahoma for his money when he was speaker.
YOU BETTER THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING WHEN Y0U SUPPORT HIM. HE'S A THIEF AND AN ADMITTED ONE. Not just in 1995 but now too.
The compact that Chief Ellis negotiated for was a damn good one. Any tobacco shop whether independent or community would jump up and down for that compact that Tiger stopped.
AND YOU PEOPLE VOTED FOR HIM.
GT did everything in his pitiful power to belittle Chief Ellis without one single NC member saying, STOP. Every person on the NC has a spine of jellyfish which we all know has no spine.
Disrespect for the Office of Principal Chief began with GEORGE TIGER.
TIGER HAS BEEN AND WILL ALWAYS BE A THIEF.
Why do you listen to his lies and speeches. Those lies he says: pray for me, my people and using the language - he will pay for. What goes around, comes around.
STOP CREEKS. REMEMBER. Remember what you parents told you. "Don't listen to a person with a forked tongue." George can talk out of both sides of his mouth while stabbing you in the back and smiling while doing it.

SOMEONE NEEDS TO CONTACT THE STATE OF OKLA TO SEE WHAT IS OWED TO THEM IN BACK TAXES FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS FOR NO COMPACT BY GEORGE AND HIS FOLLOWERS.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.
Reply to this
Rumor has it that the State of Oklahoma wants close to $50 million (MILLION) in back tobacco taxes before they will even talk to the MCN about a Tobacco Compact. By not having a state compact who got the $50 million profit? Hummm It certainly wasn't the MCN. Those that took the extra profits are responsible for these back taxes. Maybe this is what the Feds are investigating. I say, "GOOD and hurry up). Someone needs to go to prison! ... Not become Chief!

All of this info needs to reach as many citizens as possible, but how?

Very good suggestion! There is a lot of good information here on VOC, but I'm afraid not enough people tune in to read. There are many that doesn't even know about it. I think it might be a good idea to ask Muscogee Nation News to publish an article about the VOC and give the website address. Maybe if enough ask them they will.
